The grapes come from <strong data-start=\"357\" data-end=\"415\">the Valdarno hills (Colline del Valdarno)<\/strong>, from roughly 25-year-old vines growing at an average altitude of 250 m. Harvesting is done by hand and the wine is made using the traditional red wine method.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"806\" data-end=\"1171\">The aroma is <em><strong data-start=\"815\" data-end=\"825\">vinoso<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 winey and juicy \u2013 led above all by <strong data-start=\"874\" data-end=\"907\">red berries (currant, cherry) and red rose<\/strong>. On the palate the wine is dry, fresh and lightly tannic, but well balanced. This is not a heavy or overripe Tuscan red \u2013 rather <strong data-start=\"1049\" data-end=\"1097\">an elegant, juicy and classic Chianti<\/strong>that is easy to drink with food.<\/p>\n<p class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" data-start=\"1477\" data-end=\"1880\"><strong>Tenuta Selvaforte<\/strong> behind it is <strong data-start=\"1503\" data-end=\"1523\">the Molendi family<\/strong>, whose winemaking story dates back to the 19th century. According to the family's own history, <strong data-start=\"1613\" data-end=\"1635\">Duca Carlo Bussola<\/strong> planted the first vineyard as early as 1880, and in the early 1900s the wine began to be sold in the region. The modern Tenuta Selvaforte brand was created in 2022 under the leadership of Filippo and Francesca Molendi. The producer's vineyards are located <strong data-start=\"1920\" data-end=\"1966\">in the hills of Upper Valdarno (Valdarno Superiore)<\/strong>, where the grapes receive good sunlight and benefit from the winds coming up the valley.
