A full-bodied dry red wine with ripe black berries, a light spiciness from oak ageing and a light smokiness. The tannins are nicely integrated with the fruit — noticeable, but nonetheless soft. The wine matured for 10 months in both French and American oak.

If you don't want this wine to “drive right over your food”, use ingredients with stronger flavours! Forget chicken or light fish and turn your thoughts towards smoky notes or game instead!
