Conte W&M Negroamaro Rosato “Lacci”
1945 €
Lacci Negroamaro Rosato is a dry rosé from the Salento area of Puglia in Southern Italy, made from 100% Negroamaro grapes. It shows the softer, more elegant side of Negroamaro – not a powerful red, but a fresh, juicy rosé with Mediterranean character. The wine is made in a delicate rosé style: after destemming, the first juice (mosto fiore) is separated, and fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and aromas. Maturation also takes place in steel tanks.
The aroma offers cherry, red berries, pomegranate, grapefruit and other citrus, rose petal and a light Mediterranean herbal note. On the palate the wine is dry, with fresh acidity, light to medium body, a pleasantly saline finish and a red-fruit aftertaste.
Conte Wine & Maker is a wine project from Puglia centred on expressing the local varieties of the Salento region. The winery operates in the Cisternino area in Valle d'Itria, and its range includes Negroamaro, Primitivo and other local Puglia varieties. The “Lacci” series was created with the idea of tying the wine to local identity, emotion and the Mediterranean atmosphere – the name refers to the “laces” and bonds the wine creates between the land, people and moments.
