AdegaMãe Reserva Branco

AdegaMãe Reserva White is an elegant and gastronomic white wine from Portugal's Lisboa region, where the proximity of the Atlantic Ocean gives the wine its characteristic freshness and minerality. It is a blend of Alvarinho, Viosinho and Chardonnay, in which two of Portugal's most highly regarded white varieties meet the elegance of international Chardonnay. Part of the wine is fermented and aged in French oak barrels, adding rich texture and complexity.
The aroma offers ripe white peach, citrus, tropical fruit, a light butteriness, roasted nuts and gently integrated oak. On the palate the wine is full and creamy, yet with lively acidity, minerality and a long, fresh finish. It is often described as a Portuguese white wine in a Burgundian style – rich, but not heavy.
The winery is located in the Torres Vedras area on Portugal's west coast. It was founded with the aim of showing what magnificent, elegant wines the cool Atlantic climate of the Lisboa region can produce. The winery's name literally means “Mother Cellar”in Portuguese, symbolising family, origins and respect for the land. AdegaMãe wines are regularly rated in Portugal's leading wine publications, and in recent years the winery has received several international accolades.
Winemaker Diogo Lopes is one of Portugal's most recognised white wine specialists, and his wines combine modern winemaking technology with the expression of the region's terroir. The cool Atlantic winds help the grapes retain their natural acidity, which is why these wines are exceptionally fresh and pair with food with ease.
